  1. I must have a bad AVI. It is over 400 megs and took me over 15 hours to download. But when I try to play it, all I get is the sound and no video. I tried all the players,
WMP,I-Video CD. I tried opening it up with TMPGEnc, vcdgear, avi2vcd. But they all said that it couldn't be opened. I even ran DivFix on it and it didn't help. Here are the properties on the file.
    7x24.avi
    42 mins
MPEG Layer 3,95kBits/s 44,100 Hz Stereo
    352 x 240 77117 Frames 29.970 Frames/Sec
    84 KB/Sec Unknown Format

Am I'm missing something, or is this just a bad file. I had to resume the download three times.
Thanks for any understanding that you can give me.

  2. Hmmm,

Could be that you're missing the appropiate video player codec. That would explain why only video is played. Try downloading and installing some of the Codecs available from the tools section of this site.
