Is it posible to burn a CD in DVD format, quality readble in a stand alone DVD player?
Main problem:
I can easely capture, with multimedia certer 7.1, in AVI, Mpeg-1 and Mpeg-2 format. When using AVI file format I convet it using TmpegEnc to Mpeg-2 and using VCDeasy I burn a SVCD that works ok in my DVD player. When capturing in Mpeg-1, VCDeasy burns a VCD 1.1 that works fine but,in VCD 2.0 doesn't work (sound is pulsing and image looks like a puzzle) what is rong? what I'm missing? The same occours when I capture in Mpeg-2. First the out put file is "myvideo.MP2" whitch VCDeasy doesn't recognize. I need to rename it to "myvideo.MPG" notice the extention. After renaming the file VCDeasy recognizes it but,
the SVCD won't work at the DVD player, same problem of VCD 2.0. I whant to distibrute my child videos to the grantparents who live 400 Km away.
SVCD is the beast format and easely duplicatebale. As Mpeg-2 format is only valid for 30 days in TMpegEnc I'm willing to use the Mpeg-2 capture files. I just whant a two fase process, i.e. capturing in Mpeg-2 and burn a CD.
By the way, why can I capture in Mpeg-2 and WMP doesn't recognize, where in my sistem is the codec? Is it a ability of my card?
Can you help me?
Thank's for your time.
Ulisses.
