  1. Okay, im pretty stuck here, I load up an AVI of a film, trying just to rip the .wav file.. go through all the tutorial on here to do it, get to the save wav part and it comes up with..

    The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format.Check the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format.

    help! The movie plays fine in media player, so it cant be a codec problem can it?

    I looked in the file info section and under Audio Compression it says `Unknown, Tag 2000' .. any ideas?

  2. the avi movie you have is probably a divx, and is probably using vbr mp3 audio.. use nandub to rip the audio..

  4. Erm, tried nandub mate, I get this error!!

    `ACM Failed to Suggest audio decompression format'

    then..

    `AVIOutputWAV: Invalid Handle Error'

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. could you use graphedit and do a filewritter for the audio?

    im no graphedit expert but it may be ok for a last ditch attempt

    It is possibly AC3 audio. Look in the convert section for DivX with ac3 sound.

  9. Sussed it! wahey! It was ac3, so ripped it as ac3 with nandub and then Used azid to convert from ac3 to wav ... no problems now! fingers crossed!
