If I set the bitrate at 2000 kbps will create a better quality video without seeing the blocky view? Or should I go for the SVCD? I have about 2 1/2 worth of vhs tape to transfer into CDs. I'm trying to avoid using Tpmeg encorder as it take forever to do it.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks

Thanks Fantomlord. I'll go for the SVCD. My Pioneer DVD player can play SVCD and XSVCD whereas the max kbps is 2500.

For those of you whose players cannot handle SVCD, an XVCD is a good choice .. but keep in mind, after a certain threshold, increasing bitrate on MPEG-1 video is a waste. I think that threshold is about 1.8Mbps.
