  1. Okay. I am looking for a decent template for Tmpgenc if possible, that will allow me to use the Smartripper -> DVD2AVI -> Tmpgenc method on a DVDrip and create either 3 or 4 VERY HIGH quality (X)SVCD's. I have an Apex AD-5131 so I can go as high of quality as I want up to 5000kbps. I have tried fiddling with my own encoding settings in Tmpgenc, but I always end up with audio that skips, or perfect picture quality, but weird horizontal "seperation" on the screen when the camera pans from side to side, or when there is alot of action on screen. Any pointers? I use DVtool to split the file after it's encoded, so I can pretty much go as big a file as I want.

  2. Try using dvd2svcd for this. It pretty much automates the process you are trying to do, and the recent build has good support for TMPGEnc. Check out baker's guide for creating dvd-compliant CVDs as well.
