I am creating a vcd for a friends dvd player. The size of my file is a little too big to fit on one cd. i know theres methods such as overburn ect but what i want to know it can you reduce the bitrate of the mpeg and still be able to play the file on the dvd player. ? I only whish to chop it slightly less that the 1150 kbs. Ive heard of xvcd where u can adjust the bitrate up but compensate by reducing the sound rate to get the same standard overall. Can u do the opposite ?
Cheers
Phil (not overly quality mad but dont swapping cds)

Try to just reduce the bitrate or just reduce the audio to 128. If you higher one and lower the other then you wont be doing much. Check in the DVD Compatibility list to see if your dvd player can play XVCDs.
