  1. i read somewhere how to fix this problem, but i cant remember where or how...

    tmpgenc freezes when i cut the second half of my movie that has been converted

    i know the solution was something along the lines of

    "press the close bracket and then move your slider to the end of the clip you want, and then press the close bracket again"

    but this isnt working...so im thinking its a different method

    someone help me out? any help appreciated.

    I don't think there is a way of preventing problems happening occasionally when cutting mpg. You just have to try again. I find I have worse problems when cutting mpeg2. Some say when you get the movie loaded you press the play button for a few seconds. However, sometimes I can get it to lock up even doing this. 8)

    I think current versions are sent out having been compiled to include sod's law code. ie, if you have lots of time and nothing else to do, it will work perfectly. If you are in a rush, it will freeze. The more time-stressed you are, the more it will freeze.

    And some say it's something to do with how you hold your mouth when you do the edit.
