  1. here's my dilemma. ripped the vob fine with smartripper. i want to encode this to svcd using my ccesp plugin for adobe premiere, but i need someway to frameserve into adobe premiere, ie. i don't want to create an avi file from the vob and then open the avi file in premiere.

    i tried avisynth from flaskmpeg, but premiere won't open an avs file, and there's for some reason, no "ALL FILES" selection when opening/importing a file. it also won't accept d2v files from dvd2avi.

    anyone know of anything that'll in essence, let me open a .vob file in adobe premiere? thanks.

  2. If you want to make a DVD -> SVCD w/ CCE I would recommend taking a look at DVD2SVCD at http://www.doom9.org it's a front in program that will run:

    vStrip -> DVD2AVI + tooLame -> CCE -> bbMPEG -> VCDImager

    in the background for you. Also does subtitles. I turn off make images and then use TSVC to add chapters to the MPEG. DVD2SVCD + TSVC + Nero just can't be beat, IMHO.

  3. i was actually checking that out, but unfortunately, i have ccesp 2.62, and all the solutions on doom9 needed 2.5, 'cuz for some "odd" reason, ccesp2.62 doesn't accept vdub frameserver files... bleh.

  4. egad.

    "The guide is based on CCE 2.5. CCE 2.62 refuses to load VirtualDub frameserver files. Hence either use CCE 2.5 or use the following workaround: Load the d2v in TMPG and set it up for SVCD encoding, then save the project. Convert this with VFAPI to a pseudo AVI and load that in CCE. If you need subs open the TMPG project in AVIUtl instead, use VobSub for the subs (the setup is the same as for VirtualDub), then save the AviUtl project and convert it to a pseudo AVI using VFAPI. Then load it into CCE. Note that this would significantly decrease performance. CCE 2.62 is also unable to open Avisynth files (it claims: "Is not an AVI file&quot."

    Lovein hell...

  5. thanks for the help. just to let you guys know, the solution from doom9 works marvelously. except you don't need any tmpgenc. vfapi can do d2v -> avi. and it all worked beautifully.
