can you copy dvd with the new burners and keep 5.1 sound
if so what is the best burner and which software would be needed

if the full dvd is less than 4.36gb, you can make an exact copy with chapters, 5.1 and everything.
if the dvd is bigger than 4.36gb but just the movie is less than 4.36gb you can copy the movie exactly and still keep the 5.1, but you will lose the extras.
if just the movie is bigger tan 4.36gb, you can demux the movie (making it smaller) and choose which audio you want 2 channel or 6 channel. i have not done this demux one yet (it takes ages), but i would think if you chose the 6 channel you should keep the 5.1, and just have a slightly less quality video.
i am using the latest nero, and a pioneer 104 burner.
