sony 650d does not play vcd

I have sony 650d dvd player it plays dvd, cd and vcd.
however it does not play the vcd which I have burned on my pc using Roxio's easy cd creator 5.01.

The VCD works fine on my computer (using quick vcd s/w).

I am not sure if dvd player does not support cdr or its the problem with the cdr creation.
any help is appreciated.

I have a Sony DVP-C660... yes, it plays VCDs, but only on CDRW disks (supposedly it works with STI CDRs, but that is it). It is possible this is your situation too...
