In a king crimson live cd it comes as a bonus a 45 minutes show in asf format. The file is 72 MB, 240 x 180, 30 fps. I have tried several methods to convert it to a watchable vcd, even though i know that i will not get much. First i used TMPGEnc to convert it directly to mpeg 1, but freezes almost all of the times or i got the "illegal decimal..." error. Then, i read some post and i convert it to avi, process the audio in virtual dub, and then using TMPGEnc to convert it to mpeg 1, with the wav file, keeping the resolution (as explained in the low bitrate divx conversion guide, you know, with the black borders). The only thing i found really strange is that the avi file was only 15 fps. Now, i got a mpeg file, about 700 MB, but when i watched it, got a lot of those annoying blocks. All right, i said, it should be the 15 fps things, so i did it the same way, but using the original asf file and the wav. Again, got a 700 MB mpeg1 file, 30 fps, but the blocks remain, but i think that this time were few of them (or maybe i'm just going crazy). What should i do now? use another template? another program? I know is a very low quality asf, but I just want to get that same low quality in my TV, not a worse one. PLEASE HELP!!!

forgot to tell: I used the NTCS Film template with the 15 fps avi file, 2000 constant bitrate and high quality in motion search. With the asf file, the only thing i change was the template, using NTCS, but changing the frame rate to 30 instead of the normal 29,97. That's all. Thanks again for any help.
