I'm downloading my movies from Direct Connect or Kazaa.
How do I see if a file is dvd or vcd/svcd , is'nt the fileending mpg for both?

hover your mouse over the file you are fixing to download and when the info pops up look at the resolution and the filename extension
The resolution should be 720 x 480 (576 for PAL)
And often times DVD Files are distributed as .vob but also MPG
the resolution should clear it up thoughBig_Jit -
i guarantee you that if your dling a file from kaza, it is not a dvd. Honestly doubt if it is svcd. Its probably just mpg1 -vcd, if it has a mpg extension

Big_Jit , what is the resolution for vcd/svcd's then if the resolution is 720x420 for dvd's?
