Ive been on the Phone with Panasonic today and Ive been told as follows:
THERE IS A REMOTE CONTROL HACK for the player. Panasonic/Japan Got one but it has not leaked out, this is a FACT!
Allso there is a CD that OPENS the RegionBlock, this can be purchased on the NET but costs up to 300 US!!!
I would like to know:
Can someone lend me the CD?
I will pay for the help if so.
Does anyone have anything on my hack above?
Why hasnt anyone Hacked the CD? PLEASE HELP!!! This ****** deserves to be cracked!

What you need is a sympathetic retailer! I have the Panasonic RV41, same as the RV31 but with onboard DD 5.1 encoder. The retailer who sold me the unit used a CD to unlock the unit in-store for no charge. Maybe the retailer who sold you yours coould do the same?

Thanks for responding, and yes your right, unfortunatly the "normal" thing is that the retailer buys this Region CD and then Uncodes players for a fee of lets say about 40 US... This is what Panasonic recomended me to do, something I feel is corupt. Its not the money, its the dirty poletics I hate.
