Proper Punctuation (there is NO APOSTROPHE in DVDs)

It's time for an english lesson. I see this all the time and thought I would let everyone know the proper usage of apostrophes as they relate to our favorite hobby.

Apostrophes are used in contractions (like it's for it is) and to show posession (John's computer).

RIGHT:

I love DVDs (or CDs, SVCDs, etc)
I have many DVDs
The DVD's running time


Spread the usage of proper punctuation!

You had better break out a case of aspirin if you let the grammatical and syntax errors on this board give you a headache. So TGPO, you were born and destroyed to the ground in the United States? If that is what you meant to say, it is a little confusing. You have butchered the English so much, you cannot communicate to everyone what you mean to say. Anyway, I was born and raised in the U.S. as well, and my profession teaches me, along other things, to have "Excellence in all we do." So I am not in a position to do what you want to do this language, nor do I have an inkling to do so. Be good!

There is such a thing as proper "english," but no such thing as proper American!!!

I speak how I speak. Sometimes my southern accent is there, sometimes not. I use words in accordance to how I believe they should be placed together. The English language is open to adaptation, and I take my fair share.

I learned English by reading printed books in English and surely English-language web forums are not that good for improving grammar and expanding vocabulary.
