  1. I am having hugh problems burning the Spiderman Centropy SVCD CD3 file. The first two I had no problems with. I am using Nero and have the latest COdecs. Nero says it has "Stream encoded audio". I tried to use virtual dub and TMPGEnc but neither would recognize the file our open it to re-encode. I have downloaded the version that is most popular (722meg) about three times, always with the same result. Has anybody else had this problem?

    Please help

  2. Just uncheck "create standard compliant svcd" that way it wont check the file to make sure its a standard svcd and youll be able to burn it as a xsvcd.

Once you find out that the files can't be played on most of your friends DVD players ('cause they can't play SVCDs) you may want to consider converting them to VCD. If so you may want to correct for the fact that they have errors that can be corrected and correct for the PAL Aspect Ratio. If this interests you see the below Spiderman thread:

I would definetely take the advice of not skipping the DVD2AVI step. Thus,

Or you may just try to change to VCD headers:

BTW, do you have to burn as XVCD (uncheck compliant) in Nero for the "change headers" trick????

They are playable but unfortunately not in all models. Search in DVD Players section to understand for your players. My player (an Apex) can play them. But all of my friends existing players cannot play SVCD.
