  1. Man I'm so frustrated with my POS Song DVP-S560D! I've properly burned my VCD and all I need to do now is find the right type of CD-R that will read on my DVD player! Does anyone have any ideas/brands/hints on finding the right CD? Thank you so much for all you responses!!!

oh, I hear that Sony (you have a Sony, right?) have problems with CDRs so you might want to stick to CDRWs or those blue colored Verbatim CDRs.

Or maybe your DVD player isn't compatable with CD-R/RW...

If it is... why not try the brands suggested by Sony? It might say in the manual. Try Sony CD-Rs... Sony should be compatable with Sony, right?

  4. Also try using those blank CD-Audio discs. They supposedly work better than normal CD-R/W in players that wont support CD-R/W

  6. I have that model and it plays all CD-RWs I have thrown at it, but I mainly use Princo CD-Rs. They are pretty cheap. I got 100 for $35 shipped. Check out pricewatch.com to see who has them the cheapest today.

Listen to mullet he's on the right track, I spent a month making coasters as you have. I have the 535 model and the only two cd-r it plays are Princo and Pyrod, they are a silver/blue layered disk. Do not try any other cd-r disk as you will be waisting your time, no crap. I have burnt vcd's, xvcds, svcd's and mini dvds or xsvcd's on these brands and all played no problem as well as any brand of cd-rw.
Enjoy the sony I do, while others bag them.
    Cheers
