Playing VCDs on a Sony 715 player

I have an old Sony DVP-S715 DVD player. "Video CD" is marked on the player - but if I try & run any of my home burned VCDs (I use Nero 5) they will not play.

Any ideas

No, on CD-R. I also forget to say - they work perfectly on my neighbours player (not a Sony)

try a CD-RW; most Sony's can only read that wave length
