  1. How do you repair graphics in a divx (like blurry small squares), if possible?

  2. Sorry but there is nothing you can really do to improve the video quality of a poorly recorded divx. Basically, it is garbage in-garbage out. In order to get a small file size, many people will sacrifice quality. Once the information about the picture is lost in creation of the divx, it cannot be recovered. You may want to try things like the Tmpgenc Sharpen feature, but it just tends to make things worse.

You can do lots of editing with video - but editing video and improving quality are two different things!
If you really want to improve the quality you can do one of two things

most feasible - 1 find a better compressed or lightly compressed version of whatever you want
    or
very ludicrous version - 2 find and purchase a video frame painter and repaint each and every single frame in the video (removing the ugly small macroblock sqaures your talking about) and then recompress it the way you want to. This would involve repainting by hand several thousand frames - I don't think anybody in the world would bother and it has to be done by hand as software would not understand what is junk and what is good.

For some info on video editors (not improvers) look at either www.adobe.com for Premiere or www.ulead.com for videostudio or mediastudio

    Hi,

...repaint each and every single frame in the video [by hand]...
    Just a comment:

This is something like what Hollywood does when it "digitally restores/remasters" a movie; and obviously it is hideously expensive.
