dvd from safeway ((hacking problem)

hi, can anyone help.
i currently have a mbo916 dvd player that i cant make multi region.
ive used the following hack,
setup-next-stop-pause-prev-next
i get a menu that states'i shouldnt be here.
i go to region id and select-bypass and i switch macrovision off
when i insert the disc(vcd) you hear it trying to spin but nothing else happens
any ideas

other info on the menu
version2.5210-simu x-bass 3-prec 11-key v-cust 4-mbo 00822
regions are 1-8 &bypass
css auto or off
macro on or off

I think you're a little confused.. you don't need to select a region to play VCD's. they have no region coding like DVD's. if your player won't play it then it probably isn't VCD compatible.

As for making it multiregion.. you stated you got to the multiregion menu, and changed the options.. so why did you say "I can't make it multiregion"?

only way to try that one out is to insert a different region DVD..
