just got a movie on 3 disks , but would like to mrege and cut it so it fits on 2 disks, the bitrate is 1246bps and im not sure if this is the problem. Amoung the things ive tried are running it through vcdgear, demultiplexing , multiplexing but still no luck. each file is about 450-500 megs each in size and when i try to cut or join it tmpgenc ( version 2.54.37.135 ) only processes 477 seconds of each file ( roughly 7 mins) . If i try multiplexing one of the files it hangs when i play it on the P.C. Is this a bug in tmpgenc that cant handle the bitrate or is it something im missing..............anythoughts appreciated.

hey im new to the vcd world, i just thought this thread would be suitable for my problem. ok here it is...i downloaded several music videos ok and they are like 40MB each, i want to have ALL videos incorporated into the one file so that when i play the file thru my media player or whatever they play one after the other, like they are all pasted together int othe one file, its like what u would do to edit mp3, pasting several files into one so they play one after the other, i know this is possible but i dont know which programme to do it with, could someone please help me?
and is it possible to burn MPEG files onto a blank cd and play it thru my dvd player, coz my dvd player says it supports VCD's? -
Are your videos in .avi format? If they are use VirtualDub (Somewhere in the tools section), Open your first video, then File/Append AVI Segment, to select your second video and do that till all your videos are on it then save the new avi. I think you have to mark the 'Direct Stream Processing.'
About the plain MPG files depends on player to play plain MPG files alone but you can load the MPGs into Nero and make a vcd. -

Damn, sorry clicked two time. hehe And dont know anything about the first guys thing, whenever i tried to join MPGs it wouldnt play on my dvd player cause of a #2 in the stream id's header so i just join avi files instead.

hey, no they are not .avi, they are mpeg, the thing is tho with nero, i have mostly files that are of ntsc format , and when i play the cd thru my dvd player it only reads a few of the files because its a PAL dvd player, when i make a vcd with nero and it has ntsc files being burned, will it convert them to PAL before it writes to the cd? thats what im unsure about with nero, thanks
