Help with DVD-Rs and RWs playing on a JVC XV-SA75GD

Does anybody know what brand DVD-Rs or DVD-RWs play on this DVD Player?

I have tried a Pioneer DVD-R & RW and a Smartdisk DVD-R using Smartripper, IfoEdit on one DVD greater than 4.7Gs, and Nero burned on a Pioneer A04.

The DVDs work on an APEX 1200.

Both brands of DVDs are a purple color when burned.

Could it be the software? Could it be the color?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is a courtesy bump for m y sake as well. I have the JVC XV-D721BK and I can't get anything to work as well. Is it a media problem?
