  5. Post the error (if any). It may help shed some light on the source of the problem.

  7. Rule out all obvious problems:
    >Check DVD. Look for smudges, scratches, etc. Clean & try again.
    >Try another 'ripping' tool. (DVD Decrypter or vStrip 0.8f_css)

  8. I noticed that when I ripped it (SmartRipper), vob files 1-3 are 1GB each, vob 4 was like 350MB or something like that, than vob 5-end were 1GB again. Strange. But it did convert fine and it was complete.

SIN, if you're ripping the whole thing into 1 file, depending on your OS or filesystem, you may be hitting the 4GB filesize limit.

  9. SIN, donīt try to rip the whole disc to only 1 VOB. It's a really large movie and you are most likely reaching the filesize limits.
Rip it to 1 Gb splitted VOBs instead.

  10. there is no error with the ripping software or dvd drive U R using the fact of the matter is that the DVD is faulty!! if U bought it on the day of release U have the bad version which I had!! The dvd locks up at 59 mins up over on my dvdplayer & also refused to rip, Take the dvd back if U can & get another copy it should work... Mine cam from asda & after a replacement it ripped fine!! BTW the 5th vob was where mine refused to get to!

  11. Phone Warner Home Video on 020 8948 5345 (A London Number) and tell them your disc is faulty. A complete batch went out faulty. The second disc doesn't play on most DVD players. They will send you a replacement free and also a complimentary copy of "Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory".
