Hi,
I can't get TMPG to open an avi video file; Cast Away from Grokster. Thought it might be codecs or lack of. I downloaded all I could find, 311, 4, 5 and installed them in turn. Now, when I invoke VirtualDub 1.4, I get an error message to the effect that I've loaded "hacked codecs" and VD can't be responsible for the results.
After I remove the dog's breakfast I have installed, how do I install the correct ones to be sure that I have all I need?
My OS is XP Pro, CPU is AMD 1GHz, RAM 512MB, MB is SOYO K7VEM+ with onboard Via audio, Sigma Real Hollywood DVD decoder card, CD-RW 10/16/40, Pioneer 10X DVD. I'm putting this in signature as soon as I post this....
TIA.
