  1. Without using TMPGENc? I've used it twice, followed the instrustions to a tee...and both times my mpgs weren't right. I mean they play fine on the computer...but when I burn them the audio gets funky and out of sync. I've tried burning with Easy CD Creator 5 and Nero. In both cases...they mess up on the EXACT same spots in my DVD player. I know my DVD player is good...it plays all other VCD's fine...which leads me to believe it's gotta be TMPGENc.

    Can anyone help?

  2. What type of AVI? There are many flavors depending on audio & most importantly video codec.

If your AVIs are Divx off the net then try http://www.vcdhelp.com/divxtovcd.htm

  3. Yeah...that's the method I used. I know I did everything right. It seems that the audio gets out of whack when I used TMPGENc. Are there any other ways to convert DIVX to MPG?

  4. Use Virtual Dub to frameserve the divx to TMPGEnc. In VDub, be sure and check the audio synch function in the audio tab.

For the most part...the movies play fine in my DVD player. But at a certain time in the movie...the video will either speed up or lag a bit...and that totally throws it out of sync...but after that happens...it goes back to normal.

  6. Are you encoding constant or variable bit rate? Some players may have problems with some VBR settings
