if i use too lame as an external encoder for tmpgenc , wat difference or anything would i c for my mpgg.

You won't see a differance. You will hear a differance though toolame is an audio encoder.

I would recommend using SSRC as an external frequency converter if you are downsampling from 48k-->44.1k --that's where TMPG has its biggest weakness

where would i find 48k or 44.1k on my .avi movies?
If it was AC3 and i used vdub to extract and headache to convert to .wav, would i still need toolame when converting to mpg1?
