  1. Looking at the 3 different Macrovision free DVD players sold on ebay.
Daewoo 5800, Apex 1500 and the Sampo 611. Anyone else bought these and have reviews of them. I am leaning towards the Daewoo right now for about 120$.

    Thanks
    Zuke

I have an APEX 1500 and it plays anything I can fit into it....(think it would play a peice of toast if I could put data on it)
Walmart.com has the newer version (dont remember model number) but it was under 100 dollars.
Mine was on sale last Dec for like $50.00
    Great deal.

i'd say go with the daewoo but try and find one that hasn't already had the firmware upgraded. those people on ebay really jack up the prices on the ones that have been upgraded. i got a daewoo 5000n on ebay a few months ago for less than $90 including shipping, upgraded it a few days after i got it and have been very happy with it. they can play anything the apex can and i think the construction quality is a little better on the daewoo and unlike the apex the daewoo can play a PAL disc on an NTSC tv.
