    Anyone know of some software to format a dvd-rw. During a lead in burn
    writer locked up, now drive sees no medium in drive. Nero reports error in toc, I know when this happens with a cd-rw reformatting or a complete erase fixes the problem but I have no software that performs this operation. Or any other solution offered would be appreciated.

    Nevermind after buying another dvd-rw, Nero does show the option to format eraseable media. So to I guess the original disc is bad.
