  1. Hi Im not sure this the right place for this but is there a way to but a vcd on vhs. I am wondering if I can somehow just rewire my dvd/vcd player to my vcr. Is there a way to do this?

    Of course you can conect them...just take audio video out from one and hook to audio video in on other....
    Will it work?? That depends on what you are trying to tape....Most DVDs and tapes have copy protection built in....If its a home made VCD, this protection probly has already been removed...If You hit play on the DVD player and the image on the screen gets light then disappears the comes back and repeats over and over ...thats the protection.
    It can be "disabled" on some players ...thats what the DVD hack section here is about.

    Ive just been through the very same thing.I tried to connect stand alone dvd player to video and got loads of interferance and loss of sound.So i went to my local computer shop and told him of the problems,he said that what i had described was macro.He sold me a lead that took out the macro and it works fine.Its look like a scart to scart lead but one end is powered and has some sort of chip in it,anyway thats how i got round it.There is a web address on the packet if its any good to you.

    The lead was £25.00 at was called the macro master video stabiliser.
