Youre not going to get DVD quality with the media available today. 99% of all movies will not fit on 4.7 gb. SVCD is your best bet.

  5. you are somewhat correct, but it depends on how you want to look at things. so far there has not been a movie that I could fit on on 4.7 Gb DVD-R, some easier than other, older movies will usally fit 1:1 as older end to be DVD-5 ( and even some newer ones ) as for dual layer, well that where you rip or use IFO edit to make them fit by ripping out extranious tracks ( french spanish ) subtitles and delected movie scneces ect.. but they will fit with superb quality, as I do it all the time. A lot depends on how much effort work you are wiling to put into it for a given title. As for DVD quality I can get 100% most of the time.
