Hello,
I have made my first xsvcd from a divx file by following the instructions given in the conversion guide on the vcdhelp site. I so used tmpgenc to convert the divx file to mpeg, and then burned it with Nero 5.
The problem is that I cannot watch the xsvcd on my dvd player pioneer dv-444. The svcd works well on my computer with powerdvd. But when I put it in my pioneer player, I get nothing: no image no sound. The tv screen remains black. However the cd is recognized by the player, as it can display the number of tracks (one in the present case) and its duration.
The video is in PAL and was converted with a bitrate of about 1750.
The sound track was first extracted with virtualdub as explained in the conversion guide.
Can someone tell where the problem is ? Is this a problem with the conversion, the cd media or the pioneer player ?
Thanks in advance for the help
