I have Super Troopers vcd whos aspect ratio is stuffed as its to squashed. I want to fix this but for the life of me, I cant get Tmpegenc to actually stretch the aspect ratio beyond what is was encoded as. i would have thought specifying 4:3 would allow the aspect ratio to stretch as I believe that it shoudl be pretty much full screen. Anyone offer any ideas or other applications that can convert aspect ratios more effectively.
Cheers,
HaZ

You will need to re-encode. Make a note of the existing framerate, and then load the appropriate VCD template - PAL, NTSC or NTSC(film). In advanced settings start of with Source aspect ratio 1:1(VGA). Then choose Video arrange method = Center (custom size). Start with 352 x240 and using the source range encode a sample. You will get a visual guide as to what it looks like as it encodes, so abort process if it is obviously wrong. Next, adjust the second figure up or down until it looks correct, keeping first figure at 352.
