Hello,
I always assume that both FlasK (XMpeg) and DVDx infact both works as being a GUI when you use the CCE-codec.
Last week I converted Harry Potter using XMpeg (incl. CCE 2.62) @720x576 with a CBR bitrate of 2050.
Someone else Used DVDx (incl. CCE 2.62) @720x576 with a CBR bitrate of 1700.
I assumed his version would look like shit (with the 720x576 @1700), I already had some artifacts at the scene where the owls fly in the "lunchhall" with the post for the children. But accoprding to him his version doesn't have these artifacts at all.
So infact it seems like DVDx with CCE gives a better quality even at a lower bitrate, compared to XMpeg with CCE.
Does anyone know how this comes....are the later versions of DVDx with CCE giving better quality then XMpeg 4.2a / 4.5 with CCE, and so are they infact more then "just" a GUI around the codec ???
So should I stop using XMPeg and start using DVDx ???
