converting qtime movs to avi via radtools...then using CCE or tmpg,I keep getting strange frame flashes/tearing every few seconds..any ideas on the cause? thanks...

Does the flashing, tearing, jumping happen when played on the computer? Or only on the standalone player?
Do regular AVI to mpeg conversions have these problems? Check again now by encoding a 4 minute AVI to MPEG.
I had similar wierd white blocking that only went away after a clean reinstall of Windows98SE. -
well I havent tried it with a "normal" avi not converted from a qt movie..I could give that a shot,and yes it shows on the computer and the dvd player
