Player or process?

I searched but couldn't find anything about this. I have a Next Base 9000 dvd player that I got at Fry's. I bought one for my dad also so I could burn some movies for us to watch. It says you can play dvd,vcd,mp3,cd-r,cd-r/w and plays ntsc and pal. Now I tried using avi2vcd and I can't seem to get it too work. what I made I put into the player and it says it reads a vcd but no picture not even a black screen. I was wondering if you know anything about this player or any suggestions? ty sorry its so long.

Not trying to be a jerk, but did you press the Play button? I only suggest this because a friend of mine tried out a VCD I created and said his machine must not be compatable. Found out he was expecting a VCD to work like a DVD and start playing right away.

None taken Yeah I repeatedly pushed play, a little wheel spins as if its reading it and playing and it still showed no picture not even a black screen. I have tried avi2vcd and easycd creator 5 and vcd easy and I can't figure out how it works? any suggestions?

Also I converted it to mpeg and decompressed the audio and then burned and it still didn't work.

EZ CD Creator 5 had ALOT of disgruntled customers. They finally fixed the bugs in rev. D. It's really tricky to find which box had the fix since they didn't change the name nor the box much. They wanted to make sure that they could still sell the bad stuff along with the good I suppose.

If you look at the bottom of the box, you should see "rev. d". If it's a, b, or c...then call their tech support and ask them for a fix.
