  2. A little more info would help, such as length of movie, resoltuion of source avi, Tmpgenc template selected and any changes to defaults would be a good start.

Try saving your audio file with vdub as a .wav file and use this new file in Tmpg!Sounds to me your audio is in vbr

//EDIT: i checked out some details with darim tool:
    resolution: 640x352, 16bits/pixel
    fps: 25
    audio: no audio
    duration: 1:48

It seems to be a problem of the sound, because tmpgenc shows me a message because there a probs with audio...
so now at the moment i try the darim conveter(only video) and i will try to split the sound from the videosource...

//EDIT: ok, the prob was the sound...i will check it out...
    but thx anyway

    ANOTHER BIG PROBLEM:
tmpgenc is very bugy and it crashs every time when i want to encode a divx film...but sometimes it do not. what is the reason of crashing? i mean its encoding perfectly for 10 minutes or 1 hour and suddenly it crashes!
ps: my english is bad, i know, i am no englishguy hehe
