  1. Who has any of the 2 players? which one is user friendlier?

Anyone tried the hacks on the 2? Does it work? I saw the hack posted under DVD Hacks.

I'm looking at either buying one of the 2. Any advise would be great!

    Appreciated!

  2. oops, forgot to ask...

Will this work on any "serial #" ad-3201? I noticed that Ad-1500 will only work on certain serial #'s.

    Thanks

  3. My 3201 accepts the region and macrovision hacks with no problems, but I did have to get the latest firmware from the Apex site for the Macrovision fix to actually turn it off (the old firmware said it was off but it wasn't).

  6. on the nerd forum some people mentioned that the 3201 was crap.

and the 1500 or daewoo 5800 are better.

i played movies on my 3201 the color and picture didnt come out that great.

  7. On the Internet anyone can flippantly claim something is crap without backing it up in any way. I love my 3201, and as for picture quality, it won't rival a $1000+ unit, but then I paid just over $200 CDN for it. Also, the only other unit that will play as many formats and media types as the 3201 is one of the Pioneer players (I forget which one - 4400, or something like that). If you want it for the (S)VCD and CD-R CD-RW capabilities, buy the 3201, you won't be disappointed.

  8. I have a 3201 and I am happy with it The picture quality is as good as any other Apex. And the DVD hack works to, I am not sure about having to upgrade it because I upgraded my as soon as the firmware came out because I bought it when the modle came out and I wasn't able to select audio tracks on some DVD's.

  9. I have both players at home. The 3201 is the better player, but the 1500 isn't a bad choice for the price. I've noticed that the 1500 will play some XVCD that the 3201 won't play.
