Anyone have Lasonic DVD Player?

Lasonic model DVB - 8090 is a portable player that plays DVD, VCD, MP3 etc. It is powered by A/C and 12Volt. It is listed continually on E Bay . Has anyone had any experience with this player? Thanks.

I just got back from Myrtle beach. I drove Three kids in a Mini van from Upstate New York. They watched cdr's with VCD and Svcd movies all the way. I ran it into the nine inch AC DC and only had one problem . The AC DC cord that came with the Unit failed. I found a new one at a truck stop, and it worked flawlessly. I bought mine through www.hsn.com and used a $15 coupon on the net. Shipping and DVD came to less than Ninety dollars. If it breaks tommorrow it was worth it. But It is now in the play room for the kids.

Just wondering if this is a good DVD player? Does it play cd-r VCDs? I heard it play SVCDs too. I just need it to really play them cause I burn allot off my computer. I have acouple DVDs though. Pleast let me know thank you very much.

I just got this off of eBay cheap. I posted a review on it at the Compatibility list. Seems to play VCDs, SVCDs and DVDs just fine.
