  1. I'm trying to mux some mp3 audio with mpeg2 video, svcd and xvcd. The only way I have made it work so far is to convert the mpeg 2 back to avi and mux and re-encode with TEMPGenc back to mpeg2.Anyone have a better solution?

  2. ok i see what you're doing. But theres a much easier way. mp3 data is MPEG 1.0 (or 2.0) layer III audio. you can't mux layer 3 audio with video to make a VCD or SVCD. It needs to be converted to mpeg 1.0 layer II. When you convert it to avi and mux and encode the avi with TMPGenc it is converting it to mp2 for you. To convert it yourself use tooLame or CDEX (do a search with google to find these, cause i don't remember the urls). Then assuming you already have a compliant mpeg2 video, I would mux using bbMPEG. If you need help using these programs checkout the VCD & SVCD guides at http://www.doom9.org.
