Are my files too big?

I captured DV from my camera through a firewire. I used the WIN XP MOVIE MAKER to capture the DV-AVI (25MPS).

The file I captured is about 45 mins and is 20 GIGABYTES in size. This seems rather large. I would think it should be about 10 GIG.

Or is this about right for DV-AVI 45mins?
