    ok, I'm trying to extract a wav file from an avi that uses an ac3 audio codec.
    i've followed the steps on this page
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm
    but when i do a file>save WAV, i get an error.
    Is there a plug in or something that I need?
    any suggestions?
