I have a lecture video file in .mp4, it has a restriction to be viewed only 1 device using a username/password via Xvast browser/player. These videos are hardware locked on the initial computer a username/password was logged into.
I really need them play them on different computers and preferred not locked to Xvast.
I tried using VLC and converting to another format, but the video won't run in the first place.
I also tried ffmpeg conversion in command line, no luck.
Screen recording using OBS or ShareX (video/still captures) are blacked out.
Would a capture card work?
Any suggestions?

That Xvast lock is tough, I’ve run into the same with training material. A capture card might be your best shot since it bypasses DRM by recording HDMI output directly. Just be sure it’s legal for your use case.
