  1. Hello. I am new here. I created an account to ask a question. Many websites claim the software "DvdToBD Express" is Freeware. But when I went to download it for the 1st time ever, it said "Trial expired, please purchase". Upon further research, I learned the software is deadware/abandonware because the company who made it no longer exists... so, is there really a FREE VERSION of it, or it USED to be free, but not anymore? I can't tell, my stubborn PC says my trial was over before I could even try it... Many thanks.

And it worked fine to remux a DVD to BD (It does NOT upconvert anything to HD quality so I'm not sure why you need it....)

    did you download https://www.videohelp.com/download/dvd2bdexpress.zip ?

...There you go. Downloaded from many websites in many different languages, still the same trial message error. However when I downloaded an earlier version (v1.5, I believe?), it says I have 18 days left... And Google Chrome flags several ''dvd2bdexpress.zip'' download links as ''dangerous downloads'' , then blocks and deletes the files from my PC instantly. Dunno why this happens. I will try downloading with another browser such as FireFox and see if it gets blocked... I will edit this when I'll be done checking. And I have a FREE and open-source AI Upscaler that works in Python to enhance low-quality files, such as DVD or VHS files hence why I wanted this software.

I see. I found the developer site: https://www.dvd-logic.com/archive/dvd2bd_express Maybe ask them why they call it freeware.
