Yeah, use VCDEasy. I just made one with 124 images. Works fine.

  2. You can also get a $50 software from Ulead that says it can put almost 2000 photos on one disk.

  3. Do you know the name of the software? I want to be able to view all of my photo collections on my DVD player in like one or two disc instead of twenty disc containing 99 images each.

    Did you even try VCDEasy?

But hey, who am I to argue with someone who wants to blow $50 on software, when there is a perfectly viable free alternative.

  5. I use Vegas Video 3.0 It does an awesome job in my view. Allows you to add transitions between pictures add text, and music. It resizes pics nicely so they don't look stretched or squashed. One drawback is the expense. I made a vcd for a mother's day gift old photo's transitions text and of course real heart touching music to go with it.

  6. Ulead DVD Picture show. Do a little research on what its limitations are. http://www.ulead.com/dps/runme.htm

  7. Honestly, the VCDeasy programme is fantastic, you can drag and drop 50 at a time to convert your images to mpg then drag 100 at a time in the main window to add to your list, click the interactive settings to apply a wait period of between 0 to infinate , globally or singly.

I just knocked one out with 1,225 images with some sequence files mixed in with a wait of 0 so it acts like a home movie when i advance to that image, absolutley simple to use. all done in less than 2 hours.

Thanks to HillJack for the infomation, saved me time and money, and i still can't believe it's freeware!!

Susie...there is no dedicated photo album step, you just drag the pictures to the video timeline. It will automatically create the overlap time, transition, and display time based upon your preference settings. Look in the manual as it is spelled out pretty simply.
