  1. Hi there, I have a svcd disc, but my dvd player does not support it.

How can I convert it to mpeg1 and burn to vcd?

Do I use TMPENG AND DVDTOAVI?

Please can anyone give me step by step guides?

    Many thanks......

  2. Hi,

I tried using DVD2AVI for the first svcd disc, and it produced a .d2v and an .mpa file.

I tried to add these in TMPEng, but it said that the .d2v could no be opened or is unsupported!

Also the mpa audio file could not be found either, i.e. its no supported audio.

Anyone know what I can do?

did you both downloaded and extracted the dvd2avi.vfp and also installed the vfapi tmpgenc plugin?

  4. yes, I have both installed.......
does the TMPEnfg plugin have to be in the same folder?

    How do I use it?

Is there anyother tool I can use to rip the svcd and convert it to MPEG1?

I found that my dvd player does support svcd, but only on a certain type of disc.

I used clone cd to copy 1:1 onto one of these discs, and it plays ok, except it skips about every 30 secs, maybe more.

So I want to convert to vcd, as I have never had any problems with it........

Make sure you have the Mpeg 2 Codec installed for TMPG if you're going straight into it.

If you tell DVD2AVI to show all files, you can load them up like .vobs' and create a project file. Have it auto select the audio and you should be fine.
