I need to remove the front part of this DVCAM device. I couldn't find any videos on YouTube showing this. I'm afraid of damaging some connection. I'm going to try to fix the front screen, which only has a white light with no images. It might be easy to fix by unplugging and plugging some connectors. Has anyone ever touched one of these?

But this part is behind the LCD screen. I also cleaned this flat cable and plugged it in again. I tested again, and still no video on the screen, just the white light.

Maybe I shouldn't touch it anymore, before I damage another part.

You need to clean the corrosion on the pins and reconnect them, thats most likely why you lost your screen.

    Yes, I did it.

Is this chip responsible for the LCD screen? I haven't yet had access to the LCD part itself, I would have to disassemble more things to get there.

That chip is the driver for the display. https://www.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/pdf/6817/NEC/D16311GC.html

Cleaning the corrosion is the first step, you will probably need to re-solder the connections. If you are not experienced in working with ICs and soldering then you should find someone who is as you can easily destroy the chip or the circuit board.
