  1. Hi guys!

I need a way of frameserving from Virtual Dub to Adobe Premiere 6.0
Until recently I've been able to do it by using VFAPI Convertor v1.03b to convert the .vdr VirtualDub 'signpost' file into a 'fake' .avi file that Premiere would import. (I haven't found a Premiere Plug-in that imports .vdr files and works!! )

But my whole system crashed last week and I've had to do a complete clean install. Now, whenever I try to load the .vdr file into VFAPI Convertor, it gives me an error (in Japanese!) and refuses to load it.

I thought I'd replaced all the files/codecs that I had on my system before the crash, but maybe I'm missing something.

Just so it's clear, here's my spec :

    VirtualDub v1.4.10
    Adobe Premiere 6.0
    VFAPI Convertor v1.03b and v1.04b
AVISynth v1.0 beta5 (installed and working ok)
    Premiere VideoServer v.93 (working ok)

    Win98 se
    AMD Athlon XP1700

Any help would really be much appreciated guys!

  2. OH MAN DO I FEEL STUPID OR WHAT !!!!

So sorry for taking up forum space (and your valuable Saturday morning/afternoon) with this post ............ I sorted it, with a little help from Sefy & Truman!

I was looking in the wrong place ....... turns out that it's not any codec or file that's missing, but a dodgy bug in the frameserve handler in VDub 1.4.10 !!!!

Many apologies once again ........ I'm usually quite good @ searching this forum for answers ....... this one just got away from me!

Have a good weekend ..... Sue xxx
