    I brought the pioneer A04 DVD writer and it burns DVD movies very good but that its. I have tried to backup up downloaded divx files and application with Nero and Primo DVD and Vob Instant but writing to DVD-RW fail 90% of the time and when it doesn't fail the DVD disc isn't recognized in WinXP. What up with that?

    Bad drive?

    Ask the place you brought it from to do some checks on it or ask for a replacement.
