  1. I have the above DVD player and have enabled the multiregion hack. Does anyone know if this allows it to play RCE disks?

    Also it there any way to disable Macrovision - i've heard you can "clean" the signal using a little gadgy from maplin.com (signal conditioner that also wipes the macrovision), but is there a hack to disable it?

    Many thanks!

    PS if anyone is interested here's the link to the signal conditioner....

  4. No worries,

    Do the following:

    1) At logo screen press stop ONCE

    2) press 2, 3, 1, 7 (in sequence)

    3) Input region code according to table below.

    0 = ALL
    1 = USA/CAN
    2 = UK/JAPAN
    3 = HK/TWN
    4 = BRA/AUS
    5 = RUS/PAK
    6 = CHINA

    Works a treat!

    I think i've found the answer to the RCE problem.

    RCE disks should work as this hack allows you to set individual region codes. Aparently RCE disks are only a problem for ALL region players - something to do with the way RCE disks check by asking the player if it is region 1, then region 2 and so on. If it gets a yes response for more than one region it rejects the disk.

    ......Unless anyone knows otherwise.

  5. Sorry, ignore the last post, I didn't realise you had a Z-315, the hack for this model is as follows:

    1) At logo screen press stop TWICE
    2) Press 1, 9, 9, 9 (In sequence)
    3) A hidden menu will appear allowing you to select the region.
