I've put a video up on YouTube, after a day of being up I noticed a spelling mistake on someone's name. What I'd like to do is remove that video and put the corrected video in its place, but I want to keep the same URL as relatives are still watching it.

Does anyone know if this is possible, TIA

Yet somehow all those music videos are being upgraded to HD without losing their view counts.

I expect that many of the music videos were uploaded in HD but only offered as SD, until such time as their accounts got upgraded, then YT automatically re-rendered from stored upload as HD. They did this automatically a few years ago also to take advantage of other codecs, so not surprising.

Many of these videos have been remastered just recently. I bet labels have special relations with YT, which allow them to re-upload their videos without losing all the comments. If you watch music videos on YT at all, you notice these things.

Here, Erasure - Always (Official 4k Video), uploaded in 2009. Pillarboxed, though. I hope they re-upload it as true 4:3. It seems big labels do not realize that YT is not broadcast TV and allows HD that is not 16:9.

Could be. Since, with a few exceptions, I haven't watched music videos in 2 decades, that could easily fall under my radar.
And I would not be at all surprised at Google giving special privileges to the biggest earners influencers.
