  1. when i play a vcd in my dvd its stops at each chapter, someone said you must join the 5 dat files, what is the best way to do this, because i aint gotta clue

    This is how I should do it:

    Copy the *DAT files to your harddrive.
    Rename them to: xxxxxx.mpg
    Add the Mpegs together with TMPGEnc
    now you will have one big Mpeg file.
    Burn it as a VCD
    Done

  3. You should convert your dat files to mpeg by a program named vcdgear or something else.
    Dat files are different from mpeg and so they're not converted to mpeg by renaming. After convertion, mpeg files can be joined by many editing programs such as mpeg tools of tmpgenc but for a precise and frame accurate cut or join tmpgenc is not recommended at all.
    A chapter is not a track, a pause between tracks is normal but interruption at chapters is a problam of your player.
    You could have many chapters on a vcd but one track(dat file). You can burn your ripped mpeg as a vcd without chapters.
